When you drive from Kyburg down to Töss, you cross this wooden bridge.

Zürich is one of the few airports that allows the public to get so close to the runway and airfield in general. There are also several small cafés that serve café, drinks and snacks. I would avoid the place on weekends as a lot of people, especially parents who are oblivious that there kids are playing in the middle of a cycling paths. Also very well accommodating for walks and short hikes.

And if you're hungry, you can buy something there at the stand.

Here there are information boards about flight events, right next to a kiosk for catering with a public toilet facility. On some days it is full of photographers with their photo equipment, you can also learn a lot about air traffic from them.
