If the Hohneck is one of the most famous peaks in the Vosges Mountains, it's certainly thanks to the superb scenery of the Wormspel valley, which lies just a short distance away. The valley offers a breathtaking panorama of Lake Schiessrothried and the Wormsa Valley.

Magnificent narrow gorge through which flows the Pheny, which is crossed in several places by a bridge. The path can be slippery in some places. 2 passages are secured with chains on the rock.

Access to the Grotte Dagobert / Passage vers la Grotte The legend of the grotto in German: In the 7th century, a king Dagobert was hunting bears with his entourage. When he realized that two of his people wanted to kill him in order to help his brother to the throne, he first fled to this cave. It is also said that the cave served as a refuge for the monks and treasures of Munster Abbey during the Thirty Years' War.
