The opening of the station on May 15, 1880, marked the inauguration of the Landshut-Plattling railway line. The Neumarkt-Sankt Veit-Landshut railway line followed on October 4, 1883. During World War II, the entire station area was destroyed by a bombing raid on March 19, 1945. The building was replaced by a new, purpose-built structure on March 19, 1954. Source: Wikipedia
