The Tornior bivouac is located in the Alta Valle di Susa, near the Colle di Thuras, at 2552 meters above sea level. Built in 2008 by the Tornior family in memory of their son Andrea, the bivouac is a sturdy and welcoming wooden structure. It offers 6 beds, a table and benches, and is always open for hikers. The structure is located in an area of great natural beauty and cross-border between Italy and France. From there, paths start towards the Colle di Thuras and other destinations, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The Tornior family, in agreement with the Municipality of Cesana Torinese, takes care of maintenance through a twenty-year loan for use with the Italian Alpine Club

The panoramic view is worth the climb, which is very long and challenging, with a very steep final stretch.

Beautiful modern bivouac with 6 beds. The climb at the end is very steep and tiring, but it is worth climbing up here. It is located just below the Dormillouse peak. During my visit in August 2024 I did not see any mattresses, so it is advisable to bring a sleeping bag, and there is no water, not even a small stream nearby, so rooms already stocked with drinks if you want to stay a long time.

The climb to Malrif starts very steeply, but only about 30m, then a flatter valley, but hardly rideable because it's blocked, the last 300m you have to push.
