At the southern tip of the department, 40 km from Rennes, the Etang de la Forge stretches along the course of the Semnon, a tributary of the Vilaine. Bordered by rocky outcrops, the body of water is an area for fishing and nautical activities on its western part. This is an ornithological reserve in the east which welcomes hundreds of birds each year during migration. A place for walks, leisure and naturalist observation, the Etang de la Forge lends itself to all nature desires.
