This spot is actually called "Salon de bois," meaning "wooden living room," as indicated by the large wooden sign above the rock overhang and the fact that all the furniture is made of wood. Here, even larger groups can stay dry in any weather and even fire up the grill. 😉

We were totally surprised by this cave. Depending on the incidence of light, the interior glows in great red sandstone colors. A must see if you're nearby. Just a short walk up from the street. But it's definitely worth it 👍

The Lourdes Grotto is a place of Marian devotion. It was created in 1935. Some newer benches invite you to take a break with a view over Eppenbrunn. If you go up the small staircase to the left of the Lourdes grotto, you come to the cross with another bench above it.
