A narrow path through an almost jungle-like area. At times, it's reminiscent of the Amazon. However, the path is wet in some places, so wear appropriate footwear.

A wonderful nature reserve. We saw and heard many different bird species: great spotted woodpecker, robin, nuthatch, and chaffinch.

Matthias described it well. The area around the pond is still a flood zone, i.e. when the Rhine is high or during regular floods, my "little pond" is not accessible or can only be accessed at your own risk. Unfortunately, this beautiful place is increasingly being littered by event idiots.

In the Wyhl-Weisweil Rhine lowland nature and landscape conservation area, you are surrounded by an idyllic water landscape. You will repeatedly come across romantic resting places like this one, right on the bank of a small pond. The area used to be a flood plain, but this was eliminated by the expansion of the Rhine. The nature reserve is now an important habitat for animal and plant species, some of which are threatened with extinction.
