4월 1, 2024, Dilijan City Park
Here you can take a walk to the former house of Aghasi Khanjian, a former communist, built in 1936. It is currently not in the best condition, but offers a view of the countryside overlooking forests and the beautiful Dilijan Mountains.

9월 24, 2023, Goshavank Monastery
Gosh (Armenian: Գոշ) is a village in the Dilijan Municipality of the Tavush Province of Armenia. The village is named after Mkhitar Gosh (1130–1213) who took part in the rebuilding of the Nor Ghetik Monastery during the 12th-13th centuries, which was destroyed by an earthquake in 1188. The newly built monastery was later named Goshavank in honor of Mkhitar. Goshavank is located just off the main highway that runs through the village. On a hillside west of the monastery complex sits a chapel that also serves as the tomb of Mkhitar Gosh. It was situated to overlook the monastery in which he helped build. The chapel is square in plan with a single centrally located dome above and one portal. Nearby are the ruins of what is said to be Mkhitar's house. Stone foundations and low walls still exist. There are narrow planks and ropes that help you reach the caves. To go out you can either take the same way back or you can climb the boulders up and make a shortcut. The carving were done by Benik Petrosyan in 1970s.

Impressively restored 10–13th century monastery complex with – importantly – a fantastic 'gata' bakery next door.

8월 17, 2018, Singletrack Trail in Dilijan National Park
I know I'm biased (I led the team who designed and built this trail) but it really did turn out to be one of the most stunning stretches of singletrack trail anywhere in Dilijan National Park, climbing up from the Parz Lake junction to the high alpine meadow above. We spent 6 weeks building the trail in the summer of 2017 and a year later it looks like it's been there for centuries!

8월 17, 2018, Gyolort Wildflower Meadow
This place is know to locals as Gyolort. We missed the wildflower season this time but if you're there in June/July it's an amazing blanket of colour after hiking through deep green forest for a couple of hours!

Small but perfectly formed natural lake that was sadly dredged by developers (now evicted) in 2017 but it seems to be recovering. It's popular with locals by day but usually quiet in the evenings – if you camp here you'll probably have the place to yourself. There are a few springs around the south edge at the foot of the hill so water isn't a problem here.

8월 17, 2018, Matosavank Monastery Ruins
Of the two religious sites on this route I've always preferred Matosavank, simply because it looks its age – there is something about stumbling upon a moss-covered ruin in the deep forest that seems quite magical and humbling. Note that I failed to find the correct trail back down to the road and ended up in an old lady's back garden!
