Without the wooden stairs the climb would be even more challenging

Moderate hiking trail… Trail would be a good description. You are never exposed here… there are actually no critical spots, as long as you are sure-footed… but after rain it can be slippery

Quite a steep ascent/descent to or from the Kehlsteinhaus. The path is quite long. Nevertheless, the ascent is not particularly difficult. It just requires fitness/endurance.

Hello everyone, I can only agree with Thomas. You really need to be careful!! My wife and I went up the trail at the end of August, and it was pretty damp and wet (unfortunately I only read Thomas' comment and tip now). We really had to struggle to get through the gully, and we are both well equipped Mountain hikers with alpine experience. So please handle it. Otherwise a beautiful and great climb and highly recommended in good weather (which unfortunately was not possible for us😞). Greetings Norman and thanks to Thomas for the tip👍.
