Geodesic vertex nº56000 Campillo

Very nice excursion destination on a small hill. There is plenty to discover here.

At the top of the Cabeza de Villaverde is located Geodesic Vertex No. 58320, forming part of the more than eleven thousand vertices spread across the Peninsula, protected by law since 1975.

Angels Hill is the highest point in the area and has great views. It is the scene of several battles of the civil war and the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles and the Monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on Cerro de los Ángeles. The green space that surrounds it has pleasant paths, a small forest and a soccer field.

Simple ascent and a descent through the very fun trialeras

The Campillo geodesic vertex (671 m) is the highest point of the route, with extraordinary views of the Jarama River plain and the Velilla de San Antonio wetlands.

Next to the San Juan lagoons and going up a steep slope we find this hill with spectacular views of the entire Vega and the lagoons. On the way up we can also see a deep abyss, the crater of Venus. Awesome

The highest hill in the area, it is not pretty, but it gives you a high point to see all the surroundings and all the hills that surround Valdemoro.
