Dominikus Stone The Dominikus Stone stands in the Krommenthal Forest. Not far from it, in 1878, a farmer from Neuhütten, Dominikus Stenger, was caught by a forester while illegally collecting leaves. During the ensuing argument, the forester shot Dominikus Stenger in self-defense. His wife found his body lying over a rake and scythe. This field monument originally stood at the edge of a spruce thicket, where it was torn out and damaged during logging operations. It was restored and repositioned in 2001.
