The promenade is located on l'Estany Gran, also known as Lago Esperanza or Es Lac Gran. The shallow lake was originally a separate inlet near the Parc natural de s'Albufera de Mallorca, to which it was still connected via canals, is now integrated into the urban area of Alcúdia and is largely surrounded by hotels and holiday resorts.

The detour from the route to the Formentor lighthouse is definitely recommended! A very beautiful beach that invites you to linger and also has beautiful photo opportunities in several places.
