The Münzerturm, the legendary landmark of the city of Hall, can also be visited. There are individual tickets for the museum and tower, as well as a combined ticket for both. Personal tours or tours with audio guides are available in various languages.

Very beautifully preserved castle with a great and well-kept park. The two peacocks that walk through the park are recommended. The cultural and historical significance of Ambras Castle is undoubtedly that Archduke Ferdinand II brought together his already widely famous collection of armor, weapons, portraits and natural objects, the latest scientific instruments, musical instruments and art objects as well as a library here. Ferdinand had the Ambras Lower Castle built specifically for this purpose as a separate building known as a "Musaeum". This makes Ambras Castle Innsbruck the first museum in the world. Here the building itself has become an exhibit and only here can the historically earliest systematic collection and presentation concept still be experienced in its original location. From the Münzerturm, the city's landmark, you have a wonderful view over the medieval town of Hall to the impressive Karwendel massif. The tower is located in the grounds of Hasegg Castle. A visit to the tower is not only worthwhile for the view. There is also an exciting museum here that explains everything about the coin and its production. You can find all the information here: https://www.muenze-hall.at.

The historic small town of Hall has a rich minting heritage. Explore this beautiful town and see the mint that has the distinction of being the cradle of the modern day ‘Dollar’. Stepping south of the medieval town center is the Burg Hasegg, which has had a 300-year career as a mint for silver Thalers (coins, the root of the modern word ‘dollar’), and this history is unravelled in the Hall Mint Museum, displaying water-driven and hammer-striking techniques. The Mint Museum houses a number of coin presses used over the centuries and also showcases a number of coins minted over the centuries. The audio tour (voiced by ‘Franz’ a voice from the past) provides a great deal of information about the town’s minting history. Visitors can mint their own coin. The tour continues into the Mint Tower: A spiral staircase with 186 steps coils up to the 5th floor of the dodecagonal tower for far-reaching views over Hall and Inntal Valley.
