Asphalt forest track to the Bonicaparra refuge. A very nice climb, especially recommended in autumn when the beech forest is bursting with colour.

"Peña El Collao" is the name of a refuge that is located on an esplanade in the border area between San Millán de la Cogolla, Lugar del Río and Estollo. It can be accessed both on foot and by car through a track, in which there is a beautiful area where the Cárdenas river even makes a small waterfall. It is a beautiful place to get lost or spend a good day on a Sunday with friends.

Laguna de la Cascada is part of the set of small lagoons of glacial origin of Lagunas de Neila, within the Natural Park of the Lagunas Glaciares de Neila. In the vicinity of the lagoon there is an information panel with interesting data on the flora and fauna.

This refuge is located at the end of the paved track that goes up the Cárdenas river valley from San Millán de la Cogolla. The shelter has two rooms, one of them having a fireplace and a table. It is a usual starting point for the ascent to the San Lorenzo peak, summit of the Sierra de la Demanda and the highest point in La Rioja.

Lagoon that is located to the east of the group of mountain lakes that appear in the Lagos de Neila. This wetland is beautiful and the path follows it along one side of the lagoon.

It is a hunting refuge located at the end of the paved track that goes up the valley of the Cárdenas River in San Millán de la Cogolla. It has two rooms, one of which has a fireplace and table. It is located in one of the starting points for ascents to Pico San Lorenzo, summit of Sierra de la Demanda and roof of La Rioja. Accessible by road bike although the asphalt is better for mountain bikes.

Open shelter, with easy access, in the Bonicaparra area, a former village of which no remains remain. The shelter is quite neglected, but at least it can serve as shelter. Fountain, grills and tables complete the recreational area. As of June 2024, reconditioned and improved. Let's see if we can keep it like this, please..!!!!
