Beautiful mountain village on the GR7

Splendid renovated farmhouse in an idyllic high mountain environment.

Mountain refuge located in the Ports Natural Park and belonging to the Federation of Excursionist Entities of Catalonia. It is guarded and open on weekends and throughout the summer.

Accommodation in the village of El Boixar, in a century-old house that used to be a bread oven and a noodle factory, rehabilitated respecting its own architectural elements, with a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Meals prepared with local and seasonal products.

we find it in the Tenalla recreational area in the middle of the Font de l'Ombria flora micro reserve, which is about 250 meters away, it protects a habitat of black pines (habitat 9530) that contain specimens of the emblematic endemism of the massif from the Ports Pinguicula dertosensis (spring violet). This plant has the peculiarity of having sticky glands on its leaves where insects are trapped and which constitute a source of nutrients for these carnivorous plants. Free refuge that can be used as a shelter, I have also seen some camping in the vicinity. It should be taken into account that, although it can be reached by car, you may find the track closed with a chain at its beginning, in the small car park of La Cova dels Ferrins. It is the favorite place for visitors to Salt de Robert and also the routes to Portell de l'Infern and the Canal de la Casa Forestal de la Tenalla.
