The Estanys de Basturs Natural Area consists of two well-defined lakes: Estany Gran, with an almost circular shape, and Estany Petit, much smaller. The lakes, completely surrounded by fields of cultivation, are located between the towns of Basturs and Sant Romà d'Abella, in the Conca Dellá area, in the region of Pallars Jussá.

From this viewpoint located between the rocks you can see the Pobla de Segur and the Sant Antoni reservoir. It is an ideal place to enjoy nature and capture the landscape in photos.

Lake Montecortés is not of glacial origin, but rather a karstic formation. Together with the surrounding mountains it forms a spectacular landscape, which is protected both by the Natura 2000 network and by the plan of areas of natural interest of the Generalitat of Catalonia.

Beautiful views of the Sant Antoni reservoir and its dam, used to produce electricity. Do you know why the reservoir is named after Sant Antoni? Because when they built the reservoir, they left the hermitage of Sant Antoni de Susterris submerged, and you can see the bell tower when the level is very low. There is a car park less than 5 minutes from where we can leave the car.

In Lake Montcortés (Protected Natural Area) we find one of the most important waterfowl reserves in the Pyrenees.
