The Bellús reservoir is located between the municipality of Bellús and the neighboring town of Benigánim, in the province of Valencia.

The Albufera de Anna is a treasure created by multiple water sources, which have given rise to different species of flora and fauna to build a unique landscape. It is an enclave that was already inhabited centuries ago, even going back to the Mesolithic, a period from which vestiges have been found. It is a set of lakes, pools, sinks and watering holes that lead the water to the town of Anna, and that in their course create the perfect ecosystem for various aquatic birds to make it their home. In the center of the main lake is a small island that you will love to photograph, and in its waters you will find various species of freshwater fish.

Since the Spaniards drive very carefully and overtake cyclists at a reasonable distance, it is not a problem to drive over the bridge, which has no cycle lane (or sidewalk to push the bike on).

Good asphalt, great views but quite a lot of traffic for Spanish countryside.

The Bellús reservoir was built in 1995 in the Albaida river bed on a surface of 703 hectares, with a maximum capacity of 69 hm³. It belongs to the Hydrographic Confederation of Xúquer and its function is irrigation and preventing avenues.

Although Lake Anna is the most well-known, you should take advantage of its visit to also get to know the rest of the waterfalls and pools of water within the municipal area. Some of them are as amazing and beautiful as this lake.

The lake is a protected area of flora and fauna. Even so, it has parking lots and a recreational area. It is an ideal place to spend a quiet day with the family.
