The Homlastien follows the Homla, a beautiful salmon river. Top billing goes to Storfossen, one of Trøndelag's largest waterfalls, with a drop of around 130 feet (40m). It's a glorious objective for an out and back hike along the river.
This part of the Homlastien provides exceptional views of the cascades. Although there's a fair bit of elevation gain on the run to Storfossen from Hommelvik, it's worth it for the natural beauty of the surroundings.
