A detour is definitely worth it in the off-season. You can enjoy the nature and the peace and quiet to the fullest.

Very nice place with the national park hotel at the jetty. The restaurant is open from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm and in the evening.

Nordre Båtstø is one of the oldest farmsteads in Elga Bay. The farm has been in operation since around 1750. Fish and game have always been the main source of food for the population. Several small farms were built around the bay. Today there is a campsite and some of the old outbuildings are rented out as holiday cabins.
