This is a charming picnic area on the shores of Nevelvatnet. There's a fine loop around the lake, the Nevelvatnet Rundt, while a hike up neighbouring Nevelfjell takes you to the highest point in the Lillehammer municipality, at 1,089 metres (3,573 ft).

Kriksfjell boasts some of Øyerfjellet's most breathtaking views. It can be worked into a marvellous loop along with Hitfjellet and Reinsfjellet which, despite taking in three summits, doesn't involve a huge amount of vert.

When the lift is open, you can take the chairlift up like the jumpers and enjoy the great panorama over Lillehammer.
