As you hike through the landscape near Jaslangen you'll be delighted to arrive at the peaceful shore of Lake Movaten. This tranquil part of the trail offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the reflection of the sky and surrounding hills on the calm water. The path is a wonderful spot to slow down and enjoy the quiet beauty of the Valdres region. It’s an ideal place to take a break, listen to the sounds of nature, and appreciate the serene views.

Due to reconstruction of the dam, it is currently not possible to cycle over - probably through 2026. In the meantime, cyclists will have to use the road.

For me it is most beautiful in autumn or winter because of the colors. Connecting road from Hemsedal via Lykkja to Valdres. After Lykkja there is a toll road (2023), but it is worth it for the panoramic view.
