The church is a very popular tourist destination due to its location on a peninsula in the middle of a fjord with mountains in the background. It is very close to the European route E10 and is therefore easy to reach and photograph.

The Austnesfjorden rest area next to the E10 European route offers an unforgettable panorama of the magically beautiful scenery on the Sildpollneset peninsula. The view of the small church in the middle of the fjord, surrounded by mighty mountains, is certainly one of the most attractive sights in the Lofoten Islands.

Great spot with swimming and the water stream! The camping area is a bit small, it is full of bushes and little spots of tent area. I came around 19-20 (25.7) and just got an doable spot. Also the toilet cost ( 15,00kr) and my time I think they didnt flush/work. So very busy place but amazing!

Located directly at a rest area, there is the opportunity for a few steps and breathtakingly beautiful views. Feel free to leave the wooden planks and go to the small hills further ahead.

This lake can be super integrated into the descent of Festvagtinden and cool off. Yes, the water is super cold, but who wants warm water after a sweaty hike?
