The gigantic waterfall can be heard and seen from afar. However, it can also be reached up close via several hiking trails. A narrow path leads up part of the mountain next to the waterfall. From there, you have a beautiful view of the village and the surrounding mountains. However, the path should be approached with caution. It is steep, wet, and slippery. I definitely recommend sturdy footwear.

This is the Veibrink rest area on the old E6, right on the summit. Cyclists have to pass here because they are not allowed to use the new tunnel. If you have the time, you can camp here. There is almost no car traffic anymore. There is also a large open rest hut with benches and tables and other picnic benches outside. The dry toilet has unfortunately been closed. Please bring plenty of water with you!

Still steep snow field encountered at the beginning of June. Only recommended with good equipment and sure-footedness.

Sarafossen Waterfall is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Norway. As if wedged between large boulders, its fall of almost a hundred meters is majestic. The crashing sound of water against the elements becomes spellbinding.

At the highest point on the lake there is a hut (private) next to a table and benches for a rest.

Seats would enrich the rest after the driveway. 😅
