Very cozy accommodation, fully equipped kitchen, great shower, and even a boot dryer. The welcome was very warm, and the cottage is spotlessly clean 👌

With a history dating back to the 16th century, Rønningen is a charming place to take a break. The establishment has been serving food and drink since 1976 and is open to hikers in summer and cross country skiers in winter.

Grønlia has been welcoming those exploring Bymarka since 1925. The hut provides superb views across Skjellbreia lake and is a great objective for a hike. You can buy food and drink here, while there are toilet facilities too.

We were served a typical Norwegian meal here: a soup with potatoes, meatballs, pieces of meat and carrots. Then came a delicious dessert. Tasty and filling. The lady of the house was dressed in a traditional dress. She also told us that they would stop receiving pilgrims 1 week later... (date of this letter is 08-08-2024).
