Entering Åsgårdsstrand from the South, the world renowned painter Edward Munch´s home town. Beautiful white wooden houses, great seascapes, beaches and cafes for travellers.

One of several beautiful places on Årvollfjorden. Also suitable for a rest when you are out on the lake in a canoe.

Viewpoint and equipped rest area with grill and fantastic view of the lake.

Frilufts area with bathing area, landing stage for canoes, in the summer café, barbecue area and numerous tent opportunities directly on one arm of Vansjø. Nice overnight accommodation on a canoe tour on the lake or rest area on a day tour on Årvoldtangen.

From here you have a beautiful view of the bay with its islands and the small marina, behind which high rocks rise. A picture like on a postcard.

Just before the harbor of Åsgårdstrand, the route follows the waterfront. From here you can see all the way to the other shore of Oslofjord and observe numerous boats and ships.
