A somewhat more difficult route (narrow but passable path), but: completely quiet, no other people

Small mountain lake on the hiking trail. A narrow path also leads into the side valley.

Small town with a managed DNT tourist hut, where you can spend the night very well. Food is delicious too. There is breakfast, lunch and dinner. Ferry should be booked in advance. It usually runs twice a day.

Super great view of the whole fjord.

Here it's quite exciting over a small stream that plunges down into a ravine. It is best to cross the stones safely a few meters further up.

Not far from the famous Kjeragbolten in a south-westerly direction, there are two rock overhangs that look like noses and allow dramatic deep views. For the daring, one of the two rocks can be used as a bench about 900-1000 meters above the fjord ;-)
