Fatlandsvatnet is a small lake not famous as a major natural wonder but primarily known locally for its role as a key geographic feature and starting point along the popular hiking trail to the summit of Sydnessåta. The lake itself provides a scenic spot and parking area for hikers who are setting out to explore the surrounding forested hills and gain views over the local fjords.

On your hike around the Fiskeberg, this is a great spot for a stunning view of the small town of Sand and the fjord.
