We started from Foss. The hiking trail is only 2.5 km long, but is steep in places. There are waterfalls and beautiful views along the way. Afterwards we stopped at Mikals Laks to drink coffee and eat salmon. Delicious.
Very nice campsite by the lake. Owned by very friendly American couple. The cabins are very spacious and comfortable. The lake is great for photographing.
The vast fjord is quite wide, and it has many islands located within its shores, some of which are quite large. Some of the notable islands include Vestre Bokn, Kvitsøy, Rennesøy, Ombo, Finnøy, Mosterøy, and the Sjernarøyane archipelago.
A peaceful little road leads to this stunning viewpoint overlooking Bjørheimsvatnet. Surrounded by nature and far from the crowds, it’s the perfect spot to pause and take in the beautiful lake scenery.
