Nestled amidst lush greenery, Langtangen Lake is a serene spot perfect for a quiet break in nature. Its calm waters reflect the surrounding forests and hills, creating a picturesque and peaceful atmosphere.

There is a well maintained jetty with pontoon, toilet and volleyball/badminton net. There are signs saying no camping.

Great place for a break

"Private", earthy, very pleasant road, along a river with many bodies of water, surrounded by forests! Very silent, and very pleasant!

A quite rest area by the old main road. There is a couple benches and tables, and trashbins. Nice place to eat and maybe catch some fish.

On Sunday, July 15, we originally wanted to use the oldest car ferry built of wood for the crossing from Øysang to Risør. Unfortunately, we noticed that this is their last ride on Saturdays at 14:00 clock. She does not drive at the weekend. Only on Monday from 8:00 clock she resumes her journey. Too bad, because the tour would have become fantastic in beautiful summer weather. We had to make a detour of about 15 km. This tour was very demanding because in addition to the 606 vertical meters you had to overcome another 361 vertical meters.
