Nice hike! Really different types of nature. A bit hot when we went so more than 1 liter water is recommended. And bring mosquitoes spray!

Just below the road, right on the fjord, there's a sheltered, almost flat area for a tent and a rocky access point to the water. Ideal for an overnight stay!

In winter, summer, or any time of year—this place doesn’t lose its charm. Nature shows itself in its rawest form here: green slopes, water, rock, and air all blending around this small mountain lake. A great spot to pause, have a snack, or simply take in the surroundings.

Fitjadalsvatnet is a peaceful mountain lake with a 5 km loop trail around it—easy to follow and mostly flat, though sometimes a bit wet. You can park for free at either end of the valley, and the path takes you past old pasture farms with open views all around. There are no services, so bring what you need and enjoy the quiet.

Høgabu is a self-service DNT cabin in Bergsdalen, about a 2–3 hour hike from Lid. No electricity or running water—just gas for cooking, a wood stove, and the basics you need for a simple night in the mountains. It’s quiet, surrounded by hills and small lakes, and open all year with the DNT key. A nice stop if you're looking for something peaceful and low-key.

Nice hike. Also good to handle for beginner hikers. But it van be a bit heavy, so a good condition is needed.

Nice hike, it hadn't rained for several days, but waterproof shoes were appreciated in water soaked passages. 7.55 km and 284m of vertical drop on my Garmin 820 GPS.
