The Heverlee arboretum is part of Heverleebos. On an area of 9 hectares you will find around 300 different tree and shrub species, both exotic and native species. The mud forest hut with green roof at the entrance to the arboretum is a nice starting point for walks in the forest.

In the viewing hut a bench and information boards about the racecourse and the ecoduct. Nice view of the grazing zone from the cabin.

From the bird hide in Egenhoven you can overlook the sand trap on the Dyle. To protect Leuven from flooding, the area here can be flooded. A bicycle shed is provided at the viewing hut.
