Waterfalls where you can swim in the warmer months, reachable from Ferdinandea via a panoramic trek or from a rest point in 30 minutes

Here you have to cross the Allaro river before reaching the waterfall. Be careful, the path is not easy to find!

The tour is really beautiful, but at least at the beginning of March 2025 it is not completely accessible, as a third of the way through the river crossing is not possible due to a missing bridge. Unfortunately, we had to turn back. Furthermore, the journey there was an adventure due to poor roads and storm damage.

Waterfalls of impressive height, especially when observed from the highest pool. It is possible to bathe in both pools in summer.

The hike from Ferdinandea is much harder than the hike from Bivongi.

The Scialata path runs along a part of the Levadìo river. You can admire various waterfalls along the way, walking inside a dense forest.

The Marmarico waterfall is the highest waterfall in the southern Apennines (with an overall height of 114 metres) and can be reached from both Bivogni and Ferdinandea.

A small waterfall with a small lake in front. In the summer it's definitely nice to cool off here. And then eat something small with the kids at the nice picnic table. I recommend hiking to the waterfall from Piano de Gatto via the 'jeep route'. Then it should also be easy to do with children. It is not recommended over the Contrada Felicella route. On the one hand, the path is partially overgrown by thorny undergrowth, then the wooden bridge is in a dilapidated condition.
