The Historic Road: The only road connecting Erve to the rest of the valley floor (Calolziocorte) celebrated its centenary around 2011, indicating its construction in the early 1900s. Historical Context: The construction of the road was a fundamental undertaking that cost 200,000 lire at the time and resulted in the deaths of five miners. Local Figures: The death of Piero Valsecchi, described as the historical memory of Nesolio (a hamlet of Erve) and the guardian of local traditions, was reported in 2016. There may be confusion or overlap between the figure of a local historical figure (Piero) and the creator of the road.

A stunning mountain pass to escape the city and quickly feel away from the world.

I did it once and I don't think I'll repeat the experience. Other routes are better.

Hard climb, very hard

It is a little frequented area and therefore quiet, an impressive panorama, you go up and down on the same side. Seeing is believing.

Path 11. Recommended only for experienced hikers (EE). Not recommended in the winter period due to the constant presence of snowfields in many areas of the canal. Beware of the possibility of falling rocks.

Beautiful steep couloir that leads to the Azzoni refuge and from there to the summit of Monte Resegone. Recommended more uphill than downhill
