From here you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the island; below, the Aragonese Castle, Michelangelo's or Guevara's Tower, the rocks of Sant'Anna, the bay of Cartaromana, and on the left, in the background, the Gulf of Gaeta, in the center the enchanting Gulf of Naples and the Vesuvius and in the middle the islands of Procida and Vivara.

The Torre Torone is located in Forio, one of the six municipalities of Ischia, Naples, in a strategic place, halfway between the sea and the city center. Built on a huge lava rock, the Torre Torone overlooks the hill.

The north-eastern coast of Ischia is relatively flat, which favored settlement and agricultural development. The hike initially conveys charming impressions of Ischia Porto and Ponte. Ischia Ponte is characterized by beautiful old buildings and the impressive Aragonese Castle. This castle has a history of 2500 years, it got its current form under the rule of the Aragonese in the 15th century. Later the castle was expanded into a small town with 13 churches. The further path leads south up to the village of Campagnano, which nestles on a ridge and offers a view of Ischia Porto and Ponte.
