3월 13, 2025, Bus de la Lum Sinkhole
The name probably derives from "lume" or flame, due to the luminescence that would have been seen on summer nights above the cavity, produced by the gases generated by the putrefaction of animal carcasses thrown into the well. The cavity was formed by karst, or by the dissolution of the rock by water. According to legend, it is inhabited by the Anguane, very ugly fairies, with nails instead of hair, and long fangs instead of teeth. During the day they went to wash clothes at Lake Santa Croce, then wandered around in search of wood, food and children to roast. At night, they lit a small fire, whose light, spotted by shepherds, gives the cavity its name

The Gorgazzo source is an underwater cave where the stream of the same name originates, a tributary of the Livenza river. Located near Polcenigo, its name derives from the Friulian gorc which means precisely abyss. The cave consists of a resurgence and near the mouth of the cavity, nine meters deep, the statue of a Christ was placed, which thanks to the clarity of the water and the bottom is visible from the outside from the shore on sunny days .

2월 6, 2024, Grotta della Madonna dell'Agnelezza
Suggestive corner of meditation and prayer, which suddenly appears in the middle of the dense and silent forest, along the steep hiking path that leads to Mount Pizzoc, under the Agnelezza ('of the lambs') meadows: a small natural cave, a figurine of the Madonna and an altar. The first Madonnina was placed in 1963; the current one in 1973. In the early 1990s the site was refurbished and equipped with the small altar: since then two masses have been celebrated a year, always at 10.30am; at the opening of the hiking season (the last Sunday in April) and at its closing (the last Sunday in October). https://www.lazione.it/Vittoriese/FREGONA-messa-all-Agnelezza-per-l-interno-delle-attivita-escursioniche

The complex consists of a series of cavities, part of which are of artificial origin and part of natural origin; for the natural part, it is a deep gorge carved by the Caglieron stream on alternating layers of limestone conglomerate, sandstone and marl from the middle Miocene (from 16 to 10 million years ago).

The Sorgente del Gorgazzo (also known as "El Buso") is an underwater cave from which the stream of the same name originates, a tributary of the Livenza river. It looks like a large and deep pool, hidden among trees and rocks, fed by clear and icy waters that take on the color of an intense blue with remarkable reflections. The name derives from the Friulian “gorc” which means precisely abyss, followed by the augmentative / derogatory suffix “aç”. It is the second deepest karst spring with a siphon in Europe (after the Fonte di Vaucluse in Provence). Near the mouth of the cavity, at a depth of 9 meters, the statue of a Christ was placed, visible from the shore. Due to the occurrence of several fatal accidents, the source was forbidden to diving for 19 years (from 1995 to 2014). This is the Italian source explored more in depth. In 2008 the speleonaut Luigi Casati reached -212 meters. On 5 September 2019, the Polish speleosub Krzysztof Starnawski reached a depth of -222 meters, a limit so far undefeated due to the danger and strong internal currents. www.borgocreativopolcenigo.it/la-sorgente-del-gorgazzo

8월 9, 2022, Bus de la Lum Sinkhole
The Bus de la Lum was the scene of a tragic event, the historicity of which is disputed and at the center of a bitter controversy. During the Second World War, the cesspool was used by partisans (the resistance was particularly active in the Cansiglio area) to dump the bodies of several soldiers of the Italian Social Republic and German soldiers, as well as civilians. Burial in natural caves has led some sources to compare this event to the Venezia Giulia (the Foibe) massacres. According to the association Silentes Loquimur, created specifically to commemorate the victims of the Bus de La Lum, a 1949 report by the Carabinieri of Vittorio Veneto counted over 300 victims, while the speleologists of the Italian Cave Rescue Center were working on theirs Investigations in the 1960s assumed up to 500 victims (200 German soldiers, 100 RSI soldiers, 200 civilians). The same association reports that in the early 1950s the remains of 26 people were recovered, while a search carried out in 1992 turned up another 68 people who were later buried in the Caneva cemetery. No further surgeries have been performed since then due to the high economic cost. According to Umberto Lorenzoni, president of the Treviso ANPI, "no more than a dozen skeletons were recovered" from the Bus de la Lum; and when, in the early 1990s, the president of the ANPI of Pordenone, Bruno Giust, asked for further investigations to be opened, "we were told by the president of the Victims' Association that it was not appropriate to proceed. Obviously because, in our opinion, there was nothing else to be found gave". He concluded that the Bus de La Lum was used as an improvised burial ground in the final months of the war, at a time "when nothing else could be made available".

3월 23, 2022, Grotte del Caglieron
The Caglieron Caves are located in Breda di Fregona (TV). The complex consists of a series of cavities, part of artificial origin and part of natural origin. The natural part is represented by a deep gorge carved by the Caglieron stream on alternating layers of limestone conglomerate, sandstone and marl. There are numerous waterfalls, several meters high, with large potholes at the base. In the deepest part there are large calcareous concretions that close in vault, giving the whole the appearance of a cave. On the walls there are large artificial cavities, obtained from the extraction of sandstone, the typical "piera dolza" (soft stone). The mining activity, which dates back to 1500, provided the material for the construction of jambs, architraves, etc., which can still be seen on the old houses and palaces of Vittorio Veneto and its surroundings. The extraction method used is interesting: the detachment of the material, caused by large chisels that have left visible marks, took place in blocks, with the warning to leave inclined columns to support the vault. The beginning of the equipped path is located in via Ronzon, shortly after the Visitor Center; through a pedestrian walkway that crosses the stream you descend on a wide path, passing under the provincial bridge. On the right opens the large Grotta dei Breda, characterized by columns inclined at 45 ° that support the layers of sandstone forming the ceiling. A little further on, on the left, another walkway leads to the Grotta di San Lucio, used for the aging of the cheese by the Agricansiglio dairy. Retracing your steps, you will come across a bow-shaped belvedere, from which you can admire the splendid gorge. In the most illuminated areas the presence of travertine is remarkable, with alternating mosses and other plant residues. At the end of the aided path you reach an ancient mill used as a restaurant (Alle Grotte - Da Nereo). www.prolocofregona.it/grotte-del-caglieron

Ancient sandstone quarries, another example of what is visible, in a more suggestive way, at the Caglieron Caves. Also in this case, the extraction method practiced involved the detachment of the material in blocks (caused by large chisels), with the caution of leaving inclined columns to support the vault.
