Steep climb but worth it.

One of the peaks reachable with little effort and therefore suitable for families / children. A few steps from Castelletta, a beautiful village!

Panoramic, easy to reach

From the Sant'Elia cemetery (fraction of Serra San Quirico), proceed on the cart track that runs alongside it on the right side. Subsequently this turns into a path, first downhill then uphill, about 20 minutes. The panoramic point is located on the edge of a rocky ledge overlooking the valley below, it is worth a visit for its elevated position, the void below and what is found on the opposite side.

Here we are at 841 m, with a very suggestive panoramic view. There is also an iron cross here. From here it is also possible to see the Borgo di Pierosara.

To get to the cross of Monte Murano, you can also get to Case Marcellini (just below the top) by car along a white road but, if you want to do it on foot, you start from Serra San Quirico next to the church on the road, always following path 143. Of course it is all uphill and quite challenging but all in the shade. At the top, you will find a clearing and Casa Marcellini, a stone building; rest and enjoy the beautiful panorama which, in good weather, allows you to see the sea. From there, skirting the house, go up for about 700m up to the cross on path 143A. I have returned by the same path
