Bivouac always open. It has a good stove, 6 beds. Grills outside and tables. This is also followed by a couple of volunteers.

Refuge guarded but closed. Open bivouac with fireplace, table, benches, some wall units and sink with uncontrolled water. Outside there is a large garden with tables and barbecues under a large loggia. The view is also beautiful.

I would say that passing by there and not stopping is almost sacrilege :-)

Refuge located in an enchanting beech forest, there are not many signs of the path.

On a plateau, surrounded by majestic beech trees, is the Casetta di Buite. The classic environment told in fairy tales. Here, however, there were no gnomes, fairies. It was built to shelter the woodcutters, the charcoal burners, the shepherds who had their working habitat in this area of the Pratomagno. It had not been used for several decades now, so it had faced inevitable deterioration. On the initiative of the Raggiolo Brigade, the local pro loco, in 2014 it was restored and transformed into a refuge for trekking lovers. Giocondo is an obligatory refreshment point for those who come to Pratomagno. The cured meat sandwiches to enjoy after the climb can be purchased from him and you won't regret it. The homemade desserts are also excellent. The location at the confluence between the road that goes up from Casentino and the one that comes from Secchieta and the Panoramica del Valdarno makes it a very popular place in the summer months
