Beautiful village, with church and castle located in an elevated position compared to the passing road. A beautiful walk passes in front of the church and leads to an isolated bell tower. Another road branches off and leads to the castle, at the highest point of the town, which houses a museum and nursery and primary schools. Both from the castle and from the promenade, beautiful views of the surrounding hills. On the promenade, the monuments to the Alpini and the Fallen, and two fountains, both functioning.

Nice little village, which concentrates various points of interest in its centre. First of all the castle, dating back to the 11th century: restored and renovated, so much so that at first I took it for a 19th century neo-Gothic replica! Next, the church of San Giovanni Battista, in front of the castle: an eighteenth-century building then remodeled in the nineteenth century, with a beautiful exposed brick façade, simple and effective. Remarkable, a short distance away, is the Regio Asilo Matta, a nineteenth-century nursery school, which breathes in the scents of De Amicis. On the road towards Turin, in a fork in the road, is the small church of San Rocco, also an eighteenth or nineteenth century neoclassical construction, simple but not to be missed.

Really tiny village, which as is typical of these hill and mountain villages has all the essentials concentrated in the same square: church, town hall, and school. However, it has one feature: not one, but two castles, the Rocca di Arignano (which can be visited, restaurant inside) and the Castello delle Quattro Torri (private, visible only from the outside). It's worth popping by. Outside the village, the landscape of the hills is wonderful.

Nice climb in the hills behind Gassino. Beautiful road with little traffic, never exaggerated slopes (maximum 8-9% for a few hundred meters) and with a beautiful view of the surrounding hills. The first 7 km are slightly uphill, with some rinsing, the remaining 4 km are a bit more demanding. At the top, in the Cinzano square, there is a fountain and a SMAT dispenser with free and sparkling fresh water (for a fee of € 0.05 for 1.5l with card).

The castle of Moncucco, as it appears now, dates back to the 14th-15th centuries. A large tower protrudes from one of the sides, while a second is placed in the center of the building. It dominates the town and from it you can admire a magnificent landscape that extends from the hills of Monferrato to the hills of southern Piedmont and Turin, Superga and the Alps.

The castle of Moncucco positioned on the top of the hill dominates the surrounding areas opening up to a wide view over the whole Turin hill. It was erected as a result of defensive needs in the Middle Ages, however, the only one to have survived to the present day. The current appearance of the castle dates back to the 14th-15th centuries, with obvious extensions and changes made in the 18th and 19th centuries. The building is impressive, enclosed by massive walls and characterized by two towers: the first protruding from one of the sides, the second placed in a central position, connecting the two sleeves of the castle. The entrance to the inner courtyard is characterized by two narrow arched doors built under a fortified structure and formerly closed by massive wooden doors. The inner courtyard retains an old window with a medieval frame made up of terracotta tiles. The interiors, largely renovated, house the offices of the Municipality, the Plaster Museum and, on special occasions, public and private events. Currently owned by the municipality
