Very nice refuge, immersed in the green woods on the Ionian side of the Peloritani, just above the Messina hamlet of Briga Superiore, which can be reached by going up the stream and then on a dirt road.

Beautiful forest refuge, located in the municipality of Santa Lucia del Mela. Hobs and running water. Great for a nice picnic.

The refuge managed by the forestry is in poor condition but on the site there is a fountain... drinkable?

The roof and the windows and door are broken, there is sheep dirt everywhere!

The Postoleoni refuge is welcoming and has an excellent area equipped with tables, benches, barbecue areas and a drinking water fountain. It is owned by the Forestale, which makes it available only on request.

Beautiful picnic area. There is water and there are some games for the little ones.

The Bottino refuge, together with the San Calogero refuge, is one of the few structures in the area where you can find shelter for the night or in case of adverse weather conditions.
