At the end of the cycle path on the Adda, before Lecco, you arrive at this stretch of cycle/pedestrian road.

Wonderful natural oasis. It is a marshy area, rich in river vegetation and very rich in fauna, ranging from amphibians, to dragonflies to grebes, herons, woodpeckers etc. Unfortunately, the Louisiana red crayfish is also present, which as the name suggests is an invasive species. Correct behavior is recommended, do not scare the animals, be careful where you walk so as not to step on amphibians, do not leave waste, no noise etc. However, there are information signs with the rules to follow

Also known as Lake Garlate, it is a widening of the Adda river from the dam to the (former railway) bridge. It is of great naturalistic interest because there are numerous migratory birds but also sedentary species of community interest.

The Perus lake is located at the pass of the same name (1300 m) which connects the San Martino Valley and the Imagna Valley. The name is in Bergamo dialect and means "hole", indicating a rather narrow passage. Born around a tower that belonged to the family of the feudal lords of Adda, the residence was radically renovated starting in the seventeenth century. Outside it retains the beautiful serliana that marks the entrance area; inside, vast rooms flank the small seventeenth-century oratory, perfectly preserved. In the 19th century it was acquired by charitable organizations and was later purchased by the Crippa family of silk entrepreneurs. Today it belongs to the Municipality which uses the villa for exhibitions and headquarters of the local library.
