The lake area creates a microclimate

There's a small lake in the peat bog. There are many paths and unpaved roads all around, winding up and down. Watch out for mosquitoes!

Very nice, and in an interesting landscape area

A masterpiece of construction during the chaos before World War I, the former military road is now a panoramic road. It leads from Fort Monte Ercola to the Sella Sant'Agnese and, overall, features a well-branched network of paths that includes Monte Cumieli, among others. The surface initially consists of gravel, then changes to cobblestones, and at the saddle level towards the Sella Sant'Agnese, returns to gravel. The panoramic views of the Friuli plain and the Tagliamento River are almost "forces of nature."

The colorful reservoir is located right next to the road and offers a great opportunity for mirror photos in many colors.

The Minisini lake, set like a precious pearl, makes the landscape south of Mount Cumieli enchanting.

A large intermoraine depression near Borgo Pegoraro, between the Moruzzo and Carbonaria hills, this peat bog extends over several hectares. Here, until the 1950s, there were clay and peat quarries and you might come across unusual reptiles and amphibians.
