Just a note: Be careful of the asphalt, which is heavily loosened by plant roots; sudden bumps can be up to 30 cm high.

Throughout the area, there are many single tracks with varying gradients and difficulty levels. With a full-suspension mountain bike and a little technique, it's a lot of fun.

A flowering pond in Strassoldo…

In the centre of the village of Strassoldo there is the Church of San Nicolò, which preserves, among other things, a Lombard stone cross that testifies to the antiquity of the place. Coming out of the Cistigna gate you can see an old mill dating back to the 12th century, which has been in operation for over seven hundred years, with the ancient machinery preserved inside. The Castle of Strassoldo di Sopra and its twin castle Castello di Sotto are among the oldest estates in Friuli Venezia Giulia and are located in the heart of the small village of Strassoldo, included in the list of the "Borghi più belli d'Italia" (most beautiful villages in Italy) in 2019. Of enchanting beauty is the garden of the Castello di Sopra, built in the mid-18th century, where a 14th-century Magnolia Passiflora gracefully dominates the surroundings.
