Monte Fornello is a very scenic peak despite its moderate elevation. It's easily accessible on foot or by mountain bike. It's also a lovely place for a family hike.

I did it last week after 6 or 7 years: still beautiful, but erosion has made the trail narrow, resulting in significant chasms. A 4 or 5-meter section can only be accessed by getting off your bike because it's very dangerous and slippery. However, its charm remains intact.

From here begins the path that in 1.70 kilometers and 170 meters of positive difference in altitude takes you to the top of Mount Airone, at 389 meters above sea level.

Monte Milano belongs to the chain of reliefs that culminates in Monte Sporno and separates Val Baganza from the Rio Fabiola Valley, a tributary of the Parma Torrent. It has a height above sea level of 767 meters. The sloth is the ideal animal to make the cyclist or hiker understand what one becomes once they reach the top.

If it weren't for the little sign and the hanging sloth, you wouldn't even notice you had passed by. A small clearing in the woods, little more. I recommend climbing up to Mount Bosso, a little further ahead, to enjoy the view (be careful because the path becomes technical in the last few meters, nothing dangerous or transcendental but be careful where you put your feet)

For beginners who have been stuck for a while, it's not so easy. Arm yourself with water, sugar and patience. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to see beautiful things like streams as it hadn't rained for a long time and everything was dry!! But immersed in nature and landscapes.
