Take the TL variant by opening the first gate, then go around the Lago di Restì on the left and when you reach a second gate go beyond and then go to the end to see all the potholes. DO NOT CLIMB ON THE DANGEROUS BRIDGE.

Solco di Equi, a narrow and deep natural canyon, formed by erosion of the stream that today runs along the marble road and dominated by the north face of Pizzo d'Uccello. In this stretch you can admire plant species unique in the world such as the Pinguicola apuana (a perennial herbaceous plant whose leaves form rosettes at ground level), or be lucky enough to see the golden eagle circling that nests right on these rocky walls. Along the path there are two tunnels, between which is the small votive temple of the Madonna del Cavatore.

Rockslide that a week ago this landslide was not present. It is particularly dangerous for those arriving downhill from Pasquilio.

Unfortunately from the lake and begins a steep climb

The reservoir can also be hiked around with good shoes (but you have to be sure-footed). Take off your shoes at the influence in the back as there is no bridge.

The lake is very small, but it is worth a visit. It is an artificial lake created by a dam at about 1000 meters above sea level; its cold waters with bright and changing colors from green to deep blue, the rich vegetation that surrounds it, the abundance of fish (especially trouts) make it the destination of tourists, canoeists, fishermen. It can be easily reached by car or by bike starting either from the Piazza al Serchio station (about 13 km, passing through Sillano), and from San Romano in Garfagnana (about 17 km, passing through Corfino and the Orecchiella Park). Those arriving by train to Piazza al Serchio can use a bus that in half an hour, passing through Sillano, takes them to Villa Soraggio; from here to the lake there is just a little more than a kilometer to walk.

The channel is not excessively steep and in summer it can be traveled on foot without the need for equipment, with caution aimed at the risk of slipping on the turf and the sequence of trail signs. Near the top of the channel, an opening between the Uncini allows the passage to the SW side through an unmarked, steep and difficult path, which joins the CAI 32 at the same point as the Sentiero della Libertà of Passo della Greppia.

Beautiful artificial lake nestled in a narrow rocky gorge. Also excellent for fishing with proper permits.
