Its conformation is generated by the presence of a rich spring whose water, over time, has been channeled to generate driving force to feed a thriving textile and tanneries industry. The canals are distributed along the ridge creating a grid that is inserted as a plot inside the town. After the last conflict, the town risked oblivion if the local community had not undertaken a work of conservation and enhancement of this very important (albeit very small) industrial archaeological heritage.
