The Locone Reservoir is an artificial basin in Minervino Murge (BT), located in the lower part of the Ofanto river basin, created with an earthen dam on the Locone stream. From this point, there is a beautiful panorama towards the lake.

Lake Frontedusio is a perfect oasis for those who love nature and outdoor activities, with camping areas and the possibility of practicing release fishing. It is populated by various animal species, such as butterflies and colorful dragonflies.

The Capacciotti dam in the Tavoliere delle Puglie was built in the 1950s to regulate the course of the Ofanto river and irrigate the surrounding countryside. Thus it gave rise to Lake Capacciotti, an artificial basin that has become an important ecological corridor between the Adriatic coast and the Apennine mountains, and which hosts a rich biodiversity, especially of migratory birds.
