The Val Spöl is a rather shady and deliberately wild side valley in the Swiss National Park. It is less busy than other hiking routes and is therefore ideal for quiet hours of hiking.
It is worth doing the tour as late in the day as possible, as the animals come further down in the early evening or late afternoon. At the top of the slopes you can see large herds of deer.
The hiking trail through the Val dal Botsch runs almost continuously along or in the rocky stream bed. Whether going up or down, the view of the surrounding rugged mountain landscape is very impressive.
