Aquest itinerari circular pel Parc Natural dels Ports ens endinsa en un dels sectors més salvatges i espectaculars del massís. El camí combina ponts naturals, coves, miradors i formacions rocoses úniques que revelen la força de l’erosió al llarg dels segles. Des del Racó d’en Marc fins al Castell de l’Airosa, el paisatge alterna boscos mediterranis, barrancs profunds i cims panoràmics. És una ruta variada i sorprenent, ideal per descobrir la geologia i la biodiversitat dels Ports. Un recorregut imprescindible per als amants de la muntanya i les vistes infinites.

The Straits of Arnes is a path that runs along the Estrets river, in the Els Ports natural park. It is a rock formation with large vertical walls, crossing the entire gorge in a route full of waterfalls and pools that will make us enjoy the entire way, although bathing is only allowed in one of them, El Toll Blau. The trail is very easy to follow and impossible to get lost, as it is a single path that runs through the gorge from end to end. Large walls surround us throughout the entire journey that make us feel very small towards the nature of the space.

The Estrets river, with crystal clear waters, runs between cliffs and ravines in the middle of pine forests, scrub and meadows, Natural Park of Els Ports. With an irregular flow, the river jumps from raft to raft between rocks that form some curious walls.

Key step of the route between Paüls and Arnes in the crossing Estels del Sud. The Barranc dels Estrets fits in and forms a small jump. In case of high flow due to high tide, avoid it and follow the duly signposted alternative path. In the same way, if you come in the opposite direction, you will find the so-called "Pas de la Barca" which, as you can imagine, cannot be walked through in the same conditions.

Boxed section where the Riu dels Estrets flows between the Lliberós car park, where we find informative panels about the route and the existing regulations, and the Pontet de Cantavella under the Mola dels Biarnets. Two points can also be distinguished, the Straits of Lliberós, at the height of Mola de Guasc, and the Straits of Arnes at the height of Roca del Duc. Due to its scenic beauty, it attracts a large number of hikers, due to its vertical walls to many climbers and because we find the only place where bathing (Toll Blau) is allowed to large numbers of bathers in the summer. The PR-C 185 goes through this place as well as the Estels del Sud route in its stage between Arnes and Paüls.
