The Affoldener See is just as well known to waterfowl as it is to anglers, cyclists and hikers. Along the northern side is the former railway line for the construction of the dam and is now used as a trolley line. On the north-west side is the navigable dam and on the south side is a shady path around the lake.

Here you drive beautifully between the reservoir and the former railway line. The path is a bit bumpy in some places for road cycling, but still suitable. There are also a lot of people on foot here, so you can't drive super fast.

This bike path is not immediately visible. At the wrong house turn left and follow the signs for about 100m on the main street. and an old trolley track, then along the lake in the direction of the Edersee dam.
