It is beautiful to be at Lake Aegeri at any time of year

An idyllic path along the lake leads you to this bench, right on the lakeshore, under a strong tree trunk. Beautiful place, with a beautiful view over Lake Ägeri and Tahl.

A fantastic environment for biking, flat along the lake, and lots of trails and paths on the sides, with possible high altitudes. Something for everyone! It's pure pleasure to be here!

The old tradition, the only one in Central Europe that is still practiced here: rafting. It is possible in this steep location of the forest. Logging takes place here every four to five years. The slope of the rafting forest has gradients of up to 70 degrees, which makes the work here so dangerous. Wood is transported to the lake by gravity. The small streams are used as natural, gravity-driven "transport routes". ⚠️ Pay attention to the driving ban when logging!

In the canton of Zug, on Lake Ägeri, an old craft is maintained: rafting. This tradition is unique in Central Europe today. In the mountain forest on the banks of Lake Ägeri, wood is felled every four to five years and transported away by water. This sculpture, with a chainsaw, modeled from a tree trunk, brings joy as you walk or drive past. UNESCO declared rafting an intangible cultural heritage of humanity at the end of 2022.

It's a fun route!!! Beautiful, easy to ride. Moorland, meadows and forest alternate. Partly paved route.
